Achieving not only one award but four major awards; Honorato C. Perez Senior Memorial Science High School (HCPSMSHS) Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Chapter is 2024 Gawad Pag-Gabay Awards’ creme of the crop after successfully winning the Best BKD Implementer in Region 3, Best BKD President, Best BKD Adviser, and Best BKD School Head with Christiane Rumingan (Grade 12 – Von Mayer) as the organization’s president.

Rumingan, alongside BKD Adviser Nico J. Bagus, and Principal Alberto R. Santos received praise for the continuous success of the implementation of the said organization.

Dear Kabarkada,

This day marks a memorable event for our friendship, as we receive the fruit of our labor and the testament to our advocacy.

We can never thank you all enough for being on our side as we battle not only the existence of substance abuse, but also the hardships life throws in our way.

As mentioned earlier by our Regional Director, May B. Eclar, PhD, CESO III, the image formed by the word “Pag-Gabay” is an aged person holding hands with a young one, leading each other towards the right way in life. With that, we would like to let you know that these awards belong to everyone who has made this bond as special and substantial as it is, since Day 1. These awards are also for all the Barkadas before us.

So may we celebrate this achievement by remaining resilient and determined to spread a holistically healthy life to everyone around us!
