Binded by the remnants of the past— with walls carved of yesterday’s history, our alma mater, our home – within the streets of Mabini, stands strong amidst the continuous waves of the years. In this built establishment, what’s past is prologue.
One test is all it takes, then you’ll have your second home, Honorato. Yet, the pursuit of excellence requires collective effort and dedication of more than one teacher and more than one student. Honorato isn’t just a place of learning, it provides quality education fostering the development of quality citizens in our country. Originating in Cabanatuan in 1985, then soon expanded its gates for everyone, giving chance to the financially unprivileged but intellectually stimulating students.
From 210 freshmen stepping foot into the campus for the very first time in 1985– to being the roots of thousands of dreams and aspirations to this day, with students as if the stepping stones to success, the school has inched its way toward Division, Provincial, Regional, and even National recognitions through the able stewardship of efficient administrators.
Oh not so long ago, a school rose and decided to turn thousand dreams into reality. To build its legacy as the pioneer of academic excellence in Region III, Honorato leaped steps forward. Favoring higher studies in Science, students are still continuously making history. A powerful image where excellence filled the hallways, and knowledge thrived the walls of SciHi.
As the school commemorates its 39th year of serving this 2024, an oath of improvement and commitment towards contributing to the betterment of the youth of today was made. Alongside with the strong belief that the youth of today are the hope of our motherland and with improved and modernized teaching styles and dedicated teachers, Sci Hi continues on its legacy of soaring in the highest of highs.
Just because it happened 39 years ago doesn’t mean that it ended. Healthy beginnings are continuously happening not just in Honorato, but also in every Scilinians’ lives. In a school where history is unfurled daily, the authors were the students and teachers who will fulfill achievements along the way. In this built establishment, excellence is not an option but a commitment we uphold wholeheartedly.
Walking along the remnants of the past— left imprinted in every corner of the campus, 39 years of hard work and determination paints the picture of Honorato C. Perez Sr. Memorial Science High School. Along the streets of bustling Mabini, there stands a campus— a campus in which its past is also prologue.
